With the elimination of the OPF, the sound levels are increased and the frequency content is improved, giving an increased sound, leading to exhilarating tone, with cracking and burbling being an enjoyable and addictive aural assault on over-run and when downshifting through gears.
The change in performance is a noticeable factor - when compared to the stock exhaust system configuration - and the difference is perceptible from a driver’s and passenger’s point-of-view with 5,1 kW power increase and 12,5 Nm of torque added throughout the rev range! Backpressure is also significantly reduced by 95,2 percent at 5800 RPM which opens up a whole new world of tuning capabilites! When installing Akrapovič Evolution Link pipe set , which is developed for use on closed tracks only, remapping the ECU is mandatory, in order to prevent potential »check engine light« warning signals.
